Power Foundation champions innovative advocacy & communication strategies in partnership with some of the best known organizations and influential individuals with multiple initiatives for leveraging both print and social media with a robust media interface that ensures greater visibility and also address capacity building needs of media people.
Bringing together the power of collective impact, and generating community ownership and catalyzing the quality of demand, it aims at making some difference in the society by putting efforts on both micro and macro level. The focal area of work includes adopting villages and implementing intensive model village creation projects, conducting specific development programs for rural girls and women in chosen project areas, focusing on three aspects of empowerment -equal rights, education and health by enabling the role of Elected Women Representatives (EWRs) and through them also mainstreaming the concern regarding Gender Based Violence.POWER aims to develop future ideas for gender equality and development that are politically practicable, socially acceptable and economically viable.
